The Warehouse Team Leader - Inbound is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the inbound team to ensure efficient and accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of goods. The role involves leading a team, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving productivity to meet operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Supervision: Manage and lead the inbound team, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring. Provide training and mentorship to team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Inbound Operations Management: Oversee the receipt, unloading, and inspection of incoming shipments. Ensure goods are accurately checked against purchase orders and delivery documents. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, inventory) to resolve discrepancies. Monitor storage processes to optimize space utilization and inventory accuracy. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline inbound operations for improved efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and handling procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards promptly. Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records of inbound activities, including inventory updates and incident reports. Communicate effectively with management and other teams to address operational needs. About You Key Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other relevant software. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain is a plus). Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting. Forklift certification (preferred).
