Supply Chain at AstraZeneca
Supply Chain at AstraZeneca involves both clinical and commercial supply chains with both tactical and strategic responsibilities across the whole of the AstraZeneca network. Clinical Manufacture and Supply (CM&S) are responsible for ensuring reliable supply of life-changing medicines to patients participating in clinical programmes. Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S) lead the design, planning, and development of AstraZeneca’s commercial supply chains ensuring we have the most efficient and effective ways of getting life-changing medicines to patients.
We have an exciting opportunity for 10 x one-week unpaid work experience placements based at our Macclesfield site. The placement date(s) are as follows:
* Monday 14th July to Friday 18th July 2025
Job Description
* An introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry.
* Introduction to Clinical and Commercial Supply Chain walking through stages of supply to market.
* Career advice from those currently working for AstraZeneca on the apprentice scheme, and graduates.
What Knowledge/Skills will the student gain?
* Understanding of how a global supply chain operates.
* Insight to the various teams and functions that support the supply chain.
* Experience the workplace environment whilst making new friends.
Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply, students must be in Year 12 and interested in learning more about a career in Supply Chain.
