I'm working with a leading multi-disciplinary main contractor that delivers high-profile construction projects across the UK. They’re looking to add a talented Preconstruction Manager to their successful team, specifically within their Industrial division.
This is a pivotal role in the business, focused on managing all aspects of the preconstruction phase – from the moment tender documents land, through to submission and contract exchange. You’ll lead a collaborative, high-performing team to produce compelling, technically strong and commercially sound tender proposals, while ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate preconstruction tender activity in a collaborative team environment
Define and implement tender strategy
Identify risks and opportunities, creating plans to manage or maximise them
Liaise with client teams and internal stakeholders
Review tender documents and align supply chain returns
Manage the submission of tender offers
Prepare and deliver presentations for tender interviews and internal reviews
Experience Required
HNC/Degree qualified (or equivalent experience), ideally in a construction-related discipline
Experience in preconstruction/tendering within a main contracting environment
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, programming, and commercial documentation (BoQs, quotations etc.)
Confident working across multiple tenders simultaneously
Excellent communication, organisation, and technical writing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
