You will be dealing with all aspects of Export airfreight forwarding function within the department and providing support to the regional branches, being an effective contributor. There will be a requirement for this role to be multimodal going forwards. The Opportunity To deal with all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Export by Air/Ocean, shipment, and consolidation) in support of the Export team To act as a conduit between customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time. To create customs declarations in line with HMRC and current legislation ensuring compliance in the process. To ensure COD payments are collected prior to movement of goods. To liaise with overseas offices for shipment movements, taking responsibility for monitoring progress and keeping the customer advised of the status. Providing lead information to other offices in the UK where relevant Working with the Operations Manager on a daily basis to ensure all airfreight jobs are moving at a profit unless previously agreed. What you'll need to succeed Financial acumen and understanding of all financial activity. Working knowledge of Cargowise including Workflow and PAVE. Ability and confidence to expedite solutions for customers if the need arises. Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner. Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.
