The Job you will do:
1. Reporting into the Project Engineering Manager, it will be the role of the Project Engineer to support reactive and planned maintenance across the site and CAPEX and OPEX projects.
2. Responsible for the mechanical side of the repair and maintenance of the company's equipment on site, providing first line support for breakdowns, carrying out fault finding and repairs.
3. Ensuring that plant operates effectively and carry out planned servicing, inspection and installation work when required.
4. As part of the plant operations team, the Project Engineer will work within the manufacturing operation to increase productivity, increase profitability, ensure effective asset utilisation and make safety and environmental improvements.
5. Will be required to support the organisation in identifying projects, financed either by capital expenditure (CAPEX) or operational expenditure (OPEX), and the writing of technical specifications as required.
6. Identification of CAPEX and OPEX projects to achieve strategic development plan.
7. Writing of technical specifications for CAPEX and OPEX projects.
Project management duties will include:
1. Specification
2. Design
3. Component drawing

5. Vendor selection and management
6. Adherence to all applicable legislation and company policies and procedures
About you:
1. Engineering qualification (Minimum HNC or equivalent).
2. Ability to use own initiative to fault find manufacturing equipment faults.
3. Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative.
4. Flexibility with working hours is a necessity.
5. Ability to produce clear, concise technical reports.
6. Ability to establish good working relationships with clients and colleagues.
7. Ability to identify problems and come up with innovative, cost-effective solutions in any of the multi-functional aspects of engineering design work.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt language as appropriate to the situation, be open and non-defensive.
9. Capacity to take in other perspectives, to listen, understand and provide constructive feedback after considering all feasible possibilities.
