Maintenance Person
To be responsible for assisting the cinema management in maintaining and enhancing the overall presentation of the cinema by undertaking routine maintenance tasks and liaising with external parties as appropriate.
Candidates must have basic experience with hand and power tools, and ideally be qualified in Health and Safety Level 2. An understanding of Health and Safety policies, risk management, and working at heights is desirable. Facilities management or tradesperson experience is also desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Re-lamping around the cinema as directed, liaising with and reporting jobs to the management team.
2. Performing routine repairs to stair nosing and Tivoli lighting.
3. Making good and redecorating areas as directed by management.
4. Conducting graffiti checks within the cinema's responsibility, removing low-level graffiti as needed.
5. Checking the condition of fixed seating in auditoriums and reporting or repairing as necessary.
6. Reporting maintenance tasks and emergency situations such as gas leaks, power failures, water leaks, etc., to the management team.
7. Ensuring work areas are safe for customers and employees, in accordance with Health & Safety policies.
8. Conducting site walk-rounds to identify faults and hazards, and reporting them to management.
9. Maintaining the presentation of toilets, including routine plumbing works, fixing broken toilet seats, and replacing fixtures and fittings as required.
10. Ensuring the main refuse area is kept clear.
11. Carrying out routine maintenance tasks recorded in the Maintenance/defect log in the Health and Safety registers.
12. Working with the management team and attending Health & Safety meetings to ensure compliance and proper documentation of checks.
13. Keeping work areas tidy and organized, logging and locking away tools and maintenance resources in accordance with Health & Safety policies.
14. Performing ad hoc duties as directed by management within the scope of maintenance tasks for the cinema.
