Office Manager Location : Pynes Hill, Exeter - Hybrid working considered (minimum 3 days office based) Salary: £25,000 per annum Contract : Full time, Permanent Our client is a leader in illustrated non-fiction publishing with a focus on art, craft, wellbeing and automotive categories. They create books and products that ignite and nurture their readers' hobbies and interests. From their base in Exeter, Devon, they publish around 60 new titles each year, which are distributed globally. The Role They are looking for an Office Manage to join their team. The Office Manager has responsibility for a broad array of administrative and support tasks across the business. It is a hands-on role at the heart of the team working with all colleagues and departments. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work unsupervised and discretion dealing with finance and HR matters. Key Responsibilities Dealing with external customer service email and phone queries. Processing certain customer orders in small volumes. Preparing office post and courier deliveries, including sending book review copies. Arranging domestic and international courier collections. Administration of office IT, working with their outsourced IT partner. Administration of HR matters; including writing letters, checking form completions, calculating holiday allowances, new staff inductions and liaising with team members. Administration of recruitment processes. Administration of HR and health and safety policies, including risk assessments. Administration of the company pension scheme. Managing work experience applicants and work experience calendars. Administration of certain elements of business travel and hotel bookings. Assisting the finance team with certain administrative requirements such as business expenses. Submitting book legal deposits in electronic format. Submitting copyright infringement reports, preparing and sending take down forms and messages using agreed templates Overseeing the outsourced office cleaning routine. Managing the liaison with the office landlord on general matters. Managing the inventory of the external store, and from time to time moving items to and from the store as needed by the business.
