An opportunity has arisen within the ICT team for a full time ICT Administrative Assistant. This is a key position within the ICT team liaising with staff both within and external to the Trust coordinating the purchase, distribution and configuration of the Trust's mobile phones, bleeps and pagers. An enthusiastic, flexible and conscientious approach with good communication and customer handling people skills is required.
Main duties of the job
The work often involves communicating in a professional manner over the telephone and working under pressure to meet deadlines. The candidates need to be familiar with invoicing and receipting goods plus demonstrate accurate record keeping skills in order to maintain the Trust's asset register. The role involves working independently within a team driven environment. Experience of IT systems such as Microsoft Office would be an advantage. The role involves the daily use of SBS financial and Landesk ICT call logging systems for which training will be provided.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to good standard of secondary education, including GCE/GCSE English or equivalent CLAIT or equivalent IT qualification.
* RSA/OCR Stage II or equivalent typing qualification A+ or similar Computer qualification.
Knowledge & Nature of Experience
* At least 12 months administrative experience. Excellent communication skills. Use and understanding of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
* NHS background.
Professional / Managerial / Specialist Knowledge
* Able to demonstrate management of mobile devices, including distribution, first line fix and ordering.
Analytical and Judgement Skills
* Excellent inter-personal, organisational and communication skills. Able to work under pressure and to deadlines. Able to work unsupervised. Able to use own initiative. Able to work as part of a team. Tact, diplomacy & discretion.
Personal Skills / Abilities and Attributes
* Ability to communicate effectively with all Trust staff regarding the interpretation of IT incidents and problems.
