Kepak McIntosh Donald is looking for a Meat Market Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
Working Pattern: 40h/week, Monday to Friday, 6am (need to be flexible with finish time)
Role Purpose
Responsible for stock movement and rotation of red meat for sale and consumption in accordance with client specifications and Company SOPs.
* Unload product from chills, moving to designated location
* Handle product with care and consideration to maintaining quality and yields of meat
* Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets
* Minimise and manage waste effectively/as instructed
* Ensure product is of the highest standard, reporting any issues to the Line Supervisor immediately
* Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the meat market, complete checks and ensure materials are ready to use
* Perform all pre-start, hygiene and safety checks as instructed
* Maintain a good understanding and knowledge of customer specifications and yields
* Comply with Company’s health and safety rules, including hygiene requirements
* Report all breakages, damages or defaults of equipment immediately to Line Supervisor, only using equipment when safe to do so
* Report any accidents or near misses, assisting with investigations as instructed/necessary
* Minimise and report waste appropriately
* Maintain and securely store tools and equipment
* Actively participate in all required company training
* Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder
