A Hybrid Infrastructure (HI) Solutions Expert is a key member of the HI Pillar, that sits within our Technical Pre-Sales function of Business Solutions and Services. Bechtle UK’s HI pillar is centred on supporting customers to meet the challenges of modernising their infrastructure bringing simplification and performance in a secure manner. You will understand customer challenges, and at a product design level work with vendors, service partners and utilise internal resource capability to build end-to-end HI solutions. In addition to this, you will work alongside the wider team in helping customers define and execute against their on-premises, cloud, or hybrid strategy. You will maintain a detailed understanding of key vendor solutions and articulate the value at a technical level to customers. Responsibilities Job Role Responsibilities As a trusted advisor to Bechtle’s new and existing customers, you will support them to meet the challenges of modernising and scaling their infrastructure to ensure optimal efficiency and performance in a secure manner. The following key aims are expected: Actively keep Bechtle’s HI portfolio up-to-date in line with market demands and trends. Assess, design and support to present end-to-end HI solutions to meet customer requirements of all sizes and non-industry specific. Maintain knowledge on all applicable assessment tools available to support in architecting, sizing and configuring HI solutions. Maintain detailed understanding of the competitive landscape and complimenting solutions. Proactively deliver product updates into the HI pillar and wider Business Solutions and Services on key product information, incentives and general announcements that ensure we are maximising the profitability of a solution and providing accurate information into customers. Proactively look to convert basic Bill of Material (BoM) requests into a wider solution that encourages upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Continue to certify and develop your expertise in key vendors such as HPE, DELL, Cisco and Aruba etc. - with a natural deeper level of knowledge in a specific solution area as the role develops. Create and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and surrounding service partners. Support and manage existing customer technology and software plans. Job Requirements Self-motivated with a positive attitude Excellent communication and organisational skills and a team-oriented mindset University degree or good A-Levels preferred but not essential. Ability to work in a dynamic environment where hard work and fun are the key ingredients. Ability to work as part of a team and display teamwork. Experience working with server or datacentre solutions (preferred) Understanding of enterprise computer hardware, software, and datacentre solutions (preferred) Must be organised, adaptable, flexible and a good team player. Ability to plan and manage time effectively. Good analytical skills, able to make sense of data and report on it.
