Let us tell a bit about the opportunity Our CTO division enables the Aldermore business to support our customer base and meet their critical needs, providing excellence in IT Delivery, Architecture, Information Security, Operations and Support. Infrastructure Services is a core part of the wider CTO Division. As the manager of the Database and Storage team you will be part of the Infrastructure Services leadership team. You will work in a cross-discipline, agile and distributed team with a strong focus on service provision and maintaining high quality solutions which meet the demanding challenges on usability, resilience, performance, scalability and security. What will your day look like? The role of Engineering Manager for Database & Storage is really important to us. You will be responsible for creating a service-focused team to delivery high quality database and storage solutions to meet the business needs across the Aldermore Group, working closely with the other members of the Infrastructure Services Leadership Team and wider CTO Leadership Team. You will be responsible for ensuring our solutions are regularly reviewed to ensure they meet the current and future needs of the business, including maintaining the technical currency (i.e. remains within vendor support) and adhering to Aldermore Group’s security and data standards. What do we expect from you? Demonstrable service delivery experience and focus across infrastructure technologies. Experience working in a regulated environment and implementing appropriate Governance, Risk and Compliance processes. Experience managing relationships with 3rd party organizations. Experience managing technical teams and people development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
