The opportunityWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Maintenance Lead to lead the team in our Epsom, Surrey (UK) office.Reporting directly to the Group Facilities Manager, the Senior Maintenance Lead will ensure the highest possible standards are adhered to maintain the site whilst managing a team of two facilities assistants.
The successful candidate will lead on all facilities and maintenance tasks, ensuring that our building and lab spaces are well maintained and fully operational. They will ensure the smooth coordination of all the Epsom office annual services, H&S compliance and passing of quality audits. This is a hands-on role, involving general repairs, garden work, painting and liaising with contractors.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, can liaise with internal and external stakeholders and be a confident communicator. They will need to manage their time and take a great pride in their work and the Epsom office.

The Role
Overall responsibility for day-to-day maintenance of Epsom office.Manage the Epsom office Facilities team.Maintenance program administrationArrange external contractors as part of the maintenance of the building. This will include providing risk assessments, ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard, safely and in line with organisational procedures in line with budget control.To arrange and monitor cleaning teams in the building to include specialist cleaners in the lab spaces.To work with the Health and Safety Manager to maintain all statutory documentation including risk assessments, Health and Safety policy, accident book and the fire safety logManage the maintenance of building equipment including lab equipment.Manage yearly diary of key building maintenance checksRespond to immediate building requirements whilst buildings are in useAssume overall responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of internal and external environments, ensuring they meet safety standards.Experience & Qualifications
Experience of hands-on building work.Experience of working at Manager level in a facilities role, preferably within a professional services environment or Lab based environmentProven ability to diagnose and assess general maintenance tasks.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with all levels of the organisationAbility to build rapport with employeesAbility to multi-task, prioritise effectively and operate efficiently in a fast-moving environmentAn understanding of working with listed buildings (Grade 2)Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointAble to exercise initiative and discretion when working with confidential informationUK Drivers License
TravelWhilst based predominantly in Epsom, this role may require some periodic travel to other office locations.
