Who we are:
Positive Choices is Change Grow Live’s confidential service in Coventry supporting young people between the ages of 5 and 24. We offer advice and guidance to young people who are affected by a loved one’s drug or alcohol misuse or if they are using drugs or alcohol themselves and want support to make changes. We also support young people around unhealthy partner relationships, sexual health and keeping safe online and in the community. We are an Award-Winning Service with a great reputation across the city looking to expand our team with people that want to make a real difference.
We are delighted to welcome potential candidates to apply for this innovative and exciting position at Positive Choices. The Targeted Interventions Coordinator will join a dynamic and passionate team who are dedicated to working towards promoting positive outcomes for young people. The post holder will take responsibility, directed by the service manager, for the activity across the service that is targeted towards working with identified vulnerable groups who are at risk of developing issues with substance misuse.
Location: Coventry
Hours: 37.5 (full time)
Salary: £27,449-£31,529 (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time hours)
Term: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026 (there may be a possibility of extension subject to funding)

Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for delivering educational, preventative and targeted work to young people across Coventry in an attempt to ensure positive outcomes for all young people where substance misuse has the potential to be an issue.
The successful candidate will have experience of engaging with young people in a variety of settings and providing interventions in response to their needs. They will have knowledge of the issues caused by substance use and the ability to interact with a range of professionals.
The role is very rewarding though it can be emotionally taxing. The team is very supportive and is always available for de-brief. Note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

CGL points 23 to 28 (£27,449.52 - £31,529.41)
