Position: Science Teacher / Science Specialist
Location: Southampton
Specialism: SEMH
Start Date: January 2025
We are currently supporting a small, independent specialist provision in the Southampton area to secure a Science Teacher or Science Specialist from January 2025! If you are a creative and inventive Science Teacher looking for a full-time, long-term, potential temp to perm position starting in January 2025, this could be the opportunity for you.
The provision provides education to girls aged 9 to 19 years and is rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. They have a skilled staffing group working in a nurturing environment ensuring their girls flourish and achieve above and beyond their potential.
You'd be joining a team that provides an outstanding education for girls with high anxiety, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs; including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Attachment Disorder, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Learning Difficulties, ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and complex needs.
Due to the needs of the students, you would ideally have experience with all or some of the above needs - whether this is in a school or care setting, or even firsthand experience with family members, friends, or children of your own.
The successful candidate does not necessarily need to be fully qualified; they would also consider a cover teacher or cover supervisor who is confident to deliver Science up to KS4. If you are unqualified, you may also have the opportunity to extend your knowledge and gain qualified teacher status through an apprenticeship route.
If you are an ambitious and dynamic Science Specialist, and are available to start in January 2025, this school would be excited to meet you.
The role is from January 2025 ongoing with the possibility of going temp to perm!
