About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven finance professional from a Corporate Finance background (transaction services or finance due diligence) to join our dynamic group in the newly created role of Director of Commercial Finance. This pivotal position will focus on driving commercial growth through the strategic identification, development, and leadership of key commercial drivers and non-financial KPIs. The successful candidate will take the lead in defining and simplifying these drivers, ensuring they are implemented in a practical, user-friendly manner that supports—rather than impedes—the agencies' ability to focus on what they do best. A core principle of the role is to add tangible value to the day-to-day operations of the agencies within the group. In addition to these responsibilities, the role will also oversee the budgeting processes, business planning, and key data analysis required by investors, group leadership, and agency leads. As a key member of the leadership team, you will act as a strategic business partner, influencing decision-making and ensuring that our financial and operational goals align with long-term growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner with business unit leaders to identify, track, and optimise key performance indicators (KPIs), including non-financial drivers critical to commercial success. Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Provide data-driven insights to the executive team to shape strategy, improve efficiency, and support decision-making. Commercial Growth & Analysis: Develop frameworks to analyse profitability, pricing, and client performance across the group, ensuring the business maximises growth opportunities. Support M&A activities, including commercial due diligence and integration of any new acquisitions into the group structure. Collaborate with operational teams to create actionable strategies that drive revenue growth and operational scalability. Private Equity Collaboration: Act as a key point of liaison with private equity stakeholders, providing regular inputs toward performance metrics, growth opportunities, and investment returns. Team Leadership: This role is currently a standalone role but will work closely with the agency finance managers to drive change. Desired Skills and Experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), with experience in transaction services or financial due diligence. Hands-on experience working on M&A transactions, including the analysis of key drivers for private equity transactions.
