As the Wellbeing and Fitness Manager, you will play a key role within the Champneys family and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the fitness department and the club facilities with a personal interest in all club members and residential guests.
You will provide effective management of the wellbeing & fitness team to ensure all training is kept relevant and up to date so that our team can provide the best possible service to our guests and club members.
Some duties and responsibilities include:
1. You will be a visible presence on the shop floor, carrying out classes agreed with the Wellbeing Director.
2. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the enjoyment and welfare of guests and members in accordance with the Company’s health and safety policy and current legislation.
3. Assist in designing the goals and objectives by implementing the necessary policies and procedures and communicate it to the staff members.
4. Review the staffing requirement and promptly hire fitness trainers and provide them with the necessary training.
5. Communicate with the clients constantly and understand their needs so that new programs can be designed to improve it.
6. Implement promotional Club campaigns, sales initiatives or conduct personal training sessions that would be able to attract more clients, thus increasing the overall sales of the facility.
7. Make requisitions for new equipment and see that the existing equipment is clean and maintained well.
As the Wellbeing and Fitness Manager, you will have significant previous experience in a management role in the fitness and wellbeing industry, providing high quality customer service. You will have an equivalent of a REPS 3 gym instructor qualification plus a minimum of one of the following: Group Exercise related qualifications, Personal Training Award, or Sports/Fitness related Degree.
