If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Caroline Wright on 01382 436060 or email caroline.wrightdundeecity.gov.uk Requirements You will have a Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS (with appropriate option) Responsibilities You will provide professional leadership as first line manager with day to day operational management responsibility for a team or teams of staff delivering front line social work services, whilst ensuring high standards of practice parameters and service provision are maintained. You will develop and manage an appropriate range of Family Placement Resources to meet the needs of children and young people in care. The Individual You will have proven post qualifying experience. Working knowledge of relevant legislation, supervision skills, leadership qualities, organisational skills, knowledge of teams. The ability to advise and respond in crisis situations is essential along with being able to understand the safety issues in managing staff. You will also be able to commit to supporting staff and experience of working with carers and adoptive families. You will occasionally be required to work evenings and/or be contactable at home. You will have the ability to travel efficiently in the course of duties. You must be registered with SSSC within a specified timeframe. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
