Company Description MyEducation (UK) Ltd is an independent organisation that has been sending and receiving young people on international travel and study programs since 1996. With offices in Denmark, Norway, and the UK, we facilitate high school exchange and language travel programs for individuals aged 12 to 70. Our goal is to promote cultural understanding and personal development among youth through immersive experiences in different countries. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Student Coordinator located in Edinburgh. The Coordinator will be responsible for daily tasks related to student placements, such as communication with students and host families, recruiting new host families, arrranging arrival meetings and other events, managing a team of Area Representatives based across the country, and ensuring a smooth transition for participants. MyEducation is currently securing an office space in central Edinburgh and staff will be required to work from the office for some days per week. Essential Skills and Experience Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills Customer Service and Education background Sales and Recruiting experience Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and in a team Knowledge of foreign languages or experience of living acroad is a plus Highly organised, working methodically with a high attention to detail Ability to adapt to new tasks and challenges that might arise unexpectedly Duties: Develop and maintain good relationships with students, parents, host families, schools, local Area Representatives and overseas partner organisations. Provide effective communication to prospective students, programme participants and adults in a professional manner which is both informative and supportive. Effectively respond to problems and offer sound advice and guidance to resolve issues. Maintain records of communications Work with marketing team to recruit host families Secure school enrolments for arriving students and develop relationships with new schools. Interview, assess and give clear, accurate and relevant information to candidates Ensure all necessary checks and paperwork are completed prior to the arrival of participants on exchange. Work flexibly to allow access to participants/applicants at times which meet their needs Deal with queries and issues by phone, email and in person Respond to enquiries for all programmes Travel within the UK will be required for student/family/school/staff meetings and interviews Maintain an emergency phone - shared with other team members. The successful applicant must complete the necessary employment paperwork and complete a PVG/DBS check and other training required for a role that works with young people.
