Reporting to the National Fleet Manager, the Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality control processes within a HGV workshop to ensure that products and services meet established standards. This role includes leading a team of workshop supervisors and technicians, conducting audits / inspection & sign off service documents, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.

What you will you be doing as our Quality Control Supervisor?
* Quality Control Oversight: Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies; conduct regular audits of workshop processes, materials, and finished products to identify defects or areas for improvement; defect management, ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner, in line with company guidelines.
* Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations within quality control processes.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians, and apprentices, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the workshop.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality improvement initiatives; facilitate training sessions on quality standards and best practices for workshop staff; collaborate with transport to address quality concerns and develop solutions to improve processes; implement development plans to promote team growth and effectiveness.
What skills & qualifications do you need to be our Quality Control Supervisor?
* Qualified HGV technician.
* Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
* Proficient in workshop software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
