This is an exciting opportunity to work at Suffolk New College as a Technician within the Electrical field. You will be required to provide a range of technical advice, support, and practical assistance to our staff and students. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the equipment and materials within the practical workspaces, alongside ensuring safe working practices.
As part of your role, you will contribute to the wider College health and safety activity and therefore you should have a good understanding of health and safety and be prepared to undertake training in these areas e.g. first aid and fire marshall.
You will need to have an organised and methodical approach to ensure the smooth operations of the workspaces in order to support the delivery of an exceptional student experience. You will be able to communicate and engage with a range of audiences including young people and will work well both in a team and on your own initiative.
This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus; however, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
