Full job description The company Beacon Lily is an all in business management service providing financial, HR and Property/Asset management services to our clients. We provide business support to a range of companies, with our head offices located in Kingsway Shopping Centre, Newport. Our clients generally operate within the property industry, including a construction firm, corporate landlords, bespoke furniture makers and serviced accommodation providers. About the role The role will focus on purchasing and procurement for the construction side of the business, so good knowledge of building materials and experience in negotiating with suppliers would be required. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge and experience of the finance function, as we would like them to oversee the process from the request for materials, through to processing the invoice on our accounting system. They would also be required to assist with a range of difference finance and admin tasks within the group, so the role would be extremely varied and no one day the same. Role and responsibilities We are currently also recruiting for supporting roles to the finance function, so the below will be distributed to the newly formed team. Creating and monitoring processes for material requests and procurement Building relationships with suppliers Negotiating prices Tracking orders Approving invoices Managing credit limits Budgeting and cost analysis for a range of clients Responsible for the Construction purchase ledger Regularly reviewing supplier contracts Completing quarterly VAT returns Arranging Property repairs & Maintenance. Maintaining accurate records on various property management, employee scheduling, project management & purchasing systems Qualifications, Experience and Attributes You will have: A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role Good knowledge of building materials, and construction in general. AAT3 Qualified or qualified by experience An all rounder with the ability to prioritise workload Willingness to learn and progress Experience with Xero or similar accounting software Have a proactive approach and good problem solving skills. Ability to quickly pick up a range of different systems Excellent organisational and communication skills Business focused Hours 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am-6pm.
