This role sits within the multi-model rehabilitation service and will provide clinical leadership for physiotherapy services within the multi-disciplinary post viral fatigue service. The post holder will play an integral part of the development of the newly established post vital service and will provide leadership, expert advice and education to the multi-disciplinary team and wider physiotherapy services. The post holder will lead on the delivery of the physiotherapy assessment and intervention for their specialty and overall will support the physiotherapy service plan for Hywel Dda. Alongside this the post holder will be able to shape and inform the development of the newly established Multi-model rehabilitation service, this supports the post viral fatigue service, community neurological rehabilitation service and pulmonary rehabilitation. This is a part time role for 15 hours and will be mainly delivered remotely, however there may be the need to see patients in their own homes or in a clinic setting in locations across the health board. Main duties of the job The post holder will autonomously manage a caseload of clients with highly specialised complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in primary, community and secondary care settings. They will develop and maintain clinical standards across the Health Board within the speciality area. They will undertake critical analysis, appraisal and synthesis of current research outcomes and/or relevant literature in order to maintain expert levels of knowledge and practice within specialty area. They will also play a key clinical leadership role in supporting the physiotherapy service in modernizing services by contributing, planning, developing and evaluating the service within their area of specialism This will include leading in audit and evaluation. The post holder will lead and participate in CPD and other development issues with staff, including being responsible for the supervision, training and educational packages for staff within their specialist area across the Health Board. The post holder will be required to participate in the provision of a flexible 7 day service, based on service need. This will include weekend working as part of a rota. The post holder will be required to participate in on call services on a rota basis in the context of service need.
