Core Subjects Tutor (Worksop, S80) Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Core Subjects Tutor to join our team in Worksop (S80), providing high-quality education and support to pupils who are outside of mainstream school settings. About the Role: Location: Worksop, S80 (with potential travel to surrounding areas) Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Hours: Flexible We work closely with local authorities to deliver tailored educational support to pupils who may be unable to attend mainstream school due to a variety of reasons, including medical, behavioural, or emotional needs. As a Core Subjects Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in helping these young learners develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence. Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective tuition in core subjects (English, Maths, and Science) aligned with the national curriculum
* Develop personalised learning plans to meet the individual needs of each pupil
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to parents, carers, and local authorities
* Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Requirements: A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) or extensive tutoring experience in core subjects Strong subject knowledge and experience delivering lessons to Key Stages 1-4 Experience working with pupils who have additional needs or challenging behaviours is highly desirable Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to obtain one Excellent communication and organisational skills A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching What We Offer:
