About the Role As the Visualisation Architect, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining data pipelines, conducting analysis, and reporting based on complex datasets. This position is crucial in transforming data into actionable insights across the business, with the creative freedom to explore new intelligence and improve processes. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will work collaboratively with team members across the organisation in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your expertise will contribute directly to the development and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they meet business needs and support strategic and operational decision-making. Your Day-to-Day… Data Visualisation Leadership: Maintain and optimise internal Data Visualisation dashboards using best practices to enhance performance and user engagement. Ensure BI solutions are intuitive, interactive, and replace legacy reporting systems. Develop expertise in data definitions, calculations, and meaning for all visualisations. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of Information Analysts, guiding them in delivering Data Visualisation objectives through technical advice, design consultation, and collaborative development. Foster a collaborative, positive culture within the team and across IM&T teams. Stakeholder Engagement: Capture business specification requirements and ensure reporting solutions align with user needs. Engage with stakeholders to gather and plan new and ongoing reporting requirements. Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users. Advanced Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, and BI solutions, including dashboards that inform decision-making. Present data in clear formats that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting performance management. Benchmark data and interpret insights to support the business's strategic priorities. Governance and Compliance Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures relating to information management. Maintain data quality, integrity, and validation processes to ensure reporting system reliability. Oversee documentation and change control processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with the Business Systems Manager and Data Architect to optimise data structuring for visual performance. Collaborate with vendors to gather insights on best practices for visualisation. Ensure the team is adequately staffed and performance reviews and learning needs are addressed in line with Totally plc policies. Other Responsibilities: Champion the organisation's adoption of Business Intelligence and encourage its use across teams. Participate in knowledge-sharing, training, and development initiatives to maintain high standards of competency within the team. Take on other reasonable duties as required to support business and team objectives. Qualifications, Experience & Skills… Business Intelligence degree (or similar qualifications) or equivalent experience. Proven experience in developing and managing BI dashboards and reports, with a deep understanding of data visualisation principles and tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Strong technical skills in data management, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to manage and analyse large, complex datasets. Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team to achieve business and operational goals. Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders. Experience in a healthcare environment or similar fast-paced, data-driven industry is highly desirable. A proactive, innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
