Framfield House Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our team on a part-time basis, for 15-25 hours per week. Main responsibilities include: Managing and treating long-term conditions, i n line with national and local policies and the practice needs. Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children. Meeting the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care. Hypertension review and management. Running asthma, COPD and diabetes clinics and reviews. Performing cytology. Completion of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) tasks. Carry out other general practice nursing duties. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews. Clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, dressing and wound care. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS. Experience of SystmOne would be an advantage but training will be provided for the right candidate. Excellent communication skills. Experience of working within primary care. Ability to work autonomously.
