Indoor Pig Farm Manager
Location: Devon, United Kingdom
Salary: £50, DOE (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities
1. Farm Management : Oversee all aspects of the -sow indoor pig farm, ensuring smooth operations and high productivity.
2. Team Leadership : Manage and lead a team of farm workers, providing training, support, and supervision to maintain high standards of work.
3. Animal Welfare : Ensure the health and welfare of all livestock, implementing and adhering to strict biosecurity measures.
4. Production Planning : Manage weekly batching from farrowing to finish, optimising production schedules and maintaining detailed records.
5. Facility Maintenance : Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the farm facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
6. Budget Management : Manage the farm’s budget, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
7. Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on farm performance, including productivity, health, and welfare metrics.
8. Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with relevant agricultural regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
9. Proven experience in managing large-scale pig farming operations, preferably in an indoor setting.
10. Strong knowledge of pig husbandry, health, and welfare practices.
11. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
12. Ability to plan and manage production schedules effectively.
13. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
14. Proficiency in using farm management software and technology.
15. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders.
16. Commitment to maintaining high standards of biosecurity and animal welfare.
