Stamford School is offering a fantastic opportunity for a recent Agriculture Graduate with ambitions for a career in teaching to join us for a one year programme at the Stamford School, beginning this academic year or September 2025. We have both residential and non-residential opportunities.
We would like to hear from Graduates of degrees in Agriculture related degrees or qualifications who have ambitions in teaching and can offer some leadership in our extracurricular programme. An ability to contribute to our sporting programme is also an advantage.
Appropriate candidates can be invited to apply for a supported PGCE, apprenticeship, or 2nd year, in the Autumn term. We will then go through a formal process before Christmas and offer places to start in September '26.
You would be joining the Stamford at very exciting time within its history. September 25 will see us starting the BTEC Agriculture three A Level equivalent Extended Diploma course through Pearson Edexcel. As a town surrounded by rural communities in the agricultural heartland of the UK, we feel that we are expertly placed to commence this undertaking and further broaden the range of experiences for our Sixth Form.
The course will be delivered by a mixture of in-house expertise and practising farmers who together will ensure a deep and rich experience for our students. The Agricultural Graduate will have an opportunity to bring their own experience and expertise and an interest in a specific agricultural discipline such as arable, pigs, cows or sheep would be an advantage.
This is a term time only role (34 weeks per year) that attracts an annual salary of £18,132 on a non-residential basis, or £15,594 on a residential basis.
