Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Carer to join our team in Leigh, United Kingdom. As a full-time domiciliary carer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
* Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
* Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities when required
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures at all times
* We pay £12p/h on week days and £12.50p/h on weekends we also pay 45p per mile
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
* First Aid and Moving and Handling certifications
* Previous experience in domiciliary care or a related healthcare field
* Strong personal care skills and basic medical knowledge
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Physical stamina to perform care duties throughout the day
* Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing situations
* Understanding of care plans and safeguarding procedures
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care setting
* Compassionate and patient approach to client care
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
