SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER - LONDON or BIRMINGHAM - PERMANENT - £54,500 - £94,560
ARM are working with a major infrastructure company, who have a major logistics challenge, with multisite operations, extensive vehicle movements and all provided by major contractors. We are looking for a Senior Logistics Manager to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all legal, contractual, processes and reporting side of things, while supported by your own team. This position can be based from either London or Birmingham, depending on which is best for you.
About You:
* You will be a highly experienced process driven and detail focused manager.
* Your experience could include logistics contract management or within H&S within a logistics setting.
* You will have experience of delivering process improvements, deployment and assessing data to build trends to act on. You will have had experience of managing others too.
* You will be focused on building relations, as process improvements will require influencing others outside of your organisation.
* You will need to drive for this position, as some of the sites are not served by public transport links.
What you will be doing:
This position will see you overseeing over one million lorry movements and similar for smaller vehicles across a wide and varied geographic area. These movements are all controlled and reported on, with H&S implications and providing advice to major contractors using trends and reporting to assure for all mitigated actions and addresses any that need actioning. Your team will be based close to these contractors and working side by side to ensure the company meets its objectives. You will become the SME on all logistics related matters for these movements.
This position can be based from either the London office or Birmingham office (whichever is closest to your home). The role will involve some site visits and likely to see you travel to the other office for meetings. Any travel to sites or travel to an office that is not your home office is expensed.
This position will see you working hybrid with 2 days in the office/site and 3 days working from home.
What you can expect in return:
Salary for this position will depend on location. Birmingham salary range is between £54,500 to £81,780 and London is between £63,050 and £94,560. This will be dependent on experience and suitability for the role. On top of this is an excellent range of benefits and a real chance of progression within the organisation.
