An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Wet Trades (Brick) to join our Construction, Engineering & Service Industries department reporting to the Curriculum Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an extremely fast-paced growing department.
As a Lecturer in Wet Trades with Redcar & Cleveland College, you will be responsible for the delivery and contribution to the design of our students' learning programmes and assessments, to enable them to successfully achieve their qualification. You will act as the main point of contact for the students, providing feedback on progress as required, and developing further links with local employers to encourage the undertaking of work placements.
The ideal candidate will have industry experience within the Bricklaying/Construction sector, and possess a high level of drive and enthusiasm which is essential to effectively supporting learners in their journey.
It is essential that the applicant be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 within their vocational area. A teaching qualification would be advantageous; however, this will need to be undertaken within 2 years of commencing employment. Experience of teaching theory and practical lessons within a construction programme is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for the area which is crucial to engage and motivate our students. An ability to manage your time and resources efficiently and work in a successful established team committed to continuous improvement is also required.
