You will lead finance and operational regional meetings e.g P&L and performance reviews, forecast reviews, and budget reviews, and look to improve the efficiency and effectiveness local finance systems and processes, whilst controlling and monitoring all costs supporting the operational team. By maintaining effective communication with commercial and operational colleagues, as well as other parts of the business, clients and internal and external audit you will look to sustain a high reputation for financial governance; leading as part of the senior management team contributing to strategy and decision making. This will include producing financial analysis and proposing actions to improve profitability. The responsibilities will also include: Treasury management of Brettex bank account. Processing accounting transactions such as journals including posting the detailed trial balance into Workday from Sage. Responsible for the production of monthly detailed forecasts, budgets, cash reporting and ad hoc reports Lead in the statutory audit as the key business contact answering all queries in a timely manner. Produce the 5-year rolling Financial Business Plan in conjunction with Brettex Operational Management. Oversee production of monthly sales invoices and credit control to minimise working capital. Escalate credit controls and intervene when required. Management of project accounting including revenue and profit recognition. Review of labour recovery adjusting charge out rates when required. Allocating costs against projects and regions. Oversight of payroll ensuring allowances, overtime and rates are correctly posted and queries dealt with in a timely manner. What we're looking for: This role would suit a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with good knowledge of accounting standards and strong IT skills. Systems used such as Sage or Workday, spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel and Google Suite. Business Partnering skills with excellent interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly with key stakeholders and operational management, as well as strong people leadership skills, with the ability to communicate to different audiences with varying degrees of financial knowledge. Self-motivated and confident, capable of working independently, with a highly organised approach, and a diligent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst being proactive and flexible in approach.
