Bryden Nursing Home is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Wellbeing Development Coordinator to join the team at our care home in Kidderminster, 24 hrs per week. Our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times. Is yours?
Some residents become reluctant to join in activities or go outside. Do you have the patience, communication skills, and motivation to help them discover the benefits of individual wellbeing or group activities? If so, we want to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:

2. Taking responsibility for providing meaningful activities that enhance the wellbeing and social needs of our residents.
3. Planning, organizing, and implementing multi-faceted recreational activities for residents, including summer and Christmas parties, and engagement within the local community, including religious groups.
4. Supervising and instructing residents in activities and techniques designed to meet their specific physical or psychological needs, and liaising with care staff to ensure these are enacted.
5. Arranging suitable entertainers within an agreed budget.
6. Assisting residents to and from activities, including outings.
7. Preparing and submitting residents' reactions and progress reports using our care system, including taking photographs and maintaining an activity log with evaluations.
8. Generally promoting our residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the very best standards of care.
What you’ll need:
1. Ideally, some experience in a care environment, although this is not as essential as your genuine desire to develop a career in this field.
2. Some skills and experience in activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, baking, singing, etc.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team.
4. A respectful, courteous, and compassionate nature with a belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement.
