Maternity Cover Compliance Officer
Hours: full time Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Hybrid working with 1 day based in our Mercedes Benz Blackburn Dealership
Salary: Competitive Basic Salary

The role
We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join Marshall Motor Group working out of our Mercedes Benz dealership in Blackburn. Offered on a full-time, fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave with the potential of the position going permanent, this role reports to our Compliance Manager.
What you’ll do
1. Assisting the Compliance Manager to ensure business is compliant with regulations.
2. Promoting a positive compliance culture.
3. Provide the business with compliance advice and recommendations.
4. Responsible for the organisation of compliance records, ensuring all compliance logs are kept up to date.
5. Assist with the delivery of the Training & Competence Framework and Compliant Management Framework.
6. Compliance Monitoring activities in accordance with the annual plan.
7. Assisting business to maintain compliance and adherence to policies and procedures, highlighting risks and areas of improvement to Compliance Manager.
8. Assisting other members of the Compliance Department.
9. Other duties commensurate with the position.
Who you are
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements (particularly CONC, PRIN, COCON, SYSC, TC and DISP) pertaining to the sale of consumer finance and/or general insurance.
2. Knowledge of TCF and the Consumer Duty is desirable.
3. A working understanding of the regulatory framework.
Required skillset for this role
1. IT literate with the ability to organise and analyse high volumes of data.
2. Very organised with good time management skills.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to produce high quality reports in EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint, and other applications.
6. Ability to conduct root cause analysis, conduct trend analysis and offer solutions to identified problems.
7. Self-motivated, ability to handle and prioritise own workload.
8. Ability to promote a positive compliance culture.
