Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Podiatry Service for a professional and dedicated Clinical Care and Activity Coordinator to join our friendly and dynamic team. This exciting new role will provide proactive high quality systems administrative support and ensure efficient and effective management of clinical activity through robust clinical rota and waiting list coordination and management.
Main duties of the job
1. Proactively assist in the efficient and effective management of clinical ledgers/rotas and waiting lists in line with local requirements and standards.
2. Work alongside Senior Leaders to ensure that clinical ledgers/rotas reflect demand and clinical requirements.
3. Proactively manage clinical appointment ledgers/rotas and waiting lists, reporting key performance indicators, managing tasks and referrals within SystmOne.
4. Work with Podiatrists to deliver care coordination activities for patients requiring input from multiple services.
5. Support the Podiatry Service through a period of change in developing new administration and care coordination processes.

The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Podiatry Service is composed of three Teams: Empowerment, Community Podiatry, and the Acute Team. The Podiatry Service works to local and national guidance, using the evidence-base and best practice to provide safe, effective, and sustainable care to those with foot disorders.
Person specification
Education and Qualifications
* 4 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English grades 9-4 /A-C OR equivalent NHS experience relevant to post.
* Educated to Diploma Level 4 or NVQ Level 3 in relevant topic plus other additional knowledge/training OR equivalent NHS experience relevant to post.
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or similar training.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in relation to education or qualifications relevant to post.
Experience
* Experience of using SystmOne Electronic Patient Record.
* Experience of managing patient waiting time targets, waiting lists, and/or clinical ledgers.
* Experience of working with clinical staff and administration teams.
* NHS Podiatry experience relevant to post.
Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
* Clear understanding of patient confidentiality.
* Good organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise.
* IT literacy with Microsoft office packages.
