Proeon Systems Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is a specialist systems integrator supplying control and safety solutions for complex and critical applications in a variety of industry sectors that principally include the oil & gas, renewable, hydrogen, nuclear and utility industries. We are now hiring for a Buyer to join the Proeon Team Full-Time, working from our Hethel Engineering Centre in Hethel, Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
Day to Day Processing:
1. Supply chain's 1st line point of contact with suppliers.
2. Submission & expediting of RFQs to suppliers.
3. Internal guidance on preferred suppliers to meet project & business needs.
4. Order placement against Project Manager / Engineer requisitions.
5. Monitoring, expediting & reporting of purchase order status.
6. Liaison & support to the Good In department.
Supply Chain Management:
1. Building & maintaining supply chain relations with existing & new suppliers.
2. Performing pre-qualification & negotiating supplier agreements.
3. Vetting & proposing new potential suppliers / product ranges.
4. KPI monitoring & recording of supplier performance and targets.
5. Control & monitor company procedures / processes surrounding procurement.
6. Maintaining support certification / policies.
7. Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
8. QHSE support on supplier auditing & QC related aspects.
Person Specification:
1. PC literate with good knowledge and practical experience of using Excel spreadsheets.
2. Excellent attention to detail in both numeracy and written work.
3. Practical experience of Sage 50 would be advantageous.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload effectively and efficiently individually and within a team environment.
Salary & Benefits:
1. £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
