TimePlan are working with a community special school based in Wheatley, Oxfordshire.
They are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. The school provides quality and personalised education for young people between the ages of 2 and 19 with severe learning difficulties, or profound and multiple learning difficulties. They offer a happy, healthy and secure learning environment and enables each person to reach their individual potential and to maximise their independence.
As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and personal development. You will work closely with the dedicated team of staff to create a positive learning environment, which fosters independence, confidence, and social skills.
Responsibilities:
* Work with individual students or small groups of students to support their learning and development.
* Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet individual student needs.
* Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Provide support during extracurricular activities and school events.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
