The Family Time & Intervention Service is looking to recruit several Therapeutic Family Time and Intervention Officers. You will be required to work mainly after school peak hours and some weekends.
The Family Time & Intervention Service forms part of the Safeguarding Social Work teams, allowing for close working relationships with social work colleagues.
The successful candidates will be part of a busy team within Walsall Council offering high quality contact for children, who are looked after by the Local Authority, and their families. We use a number of venues for the supervised contact, including the family home or within the community.
Do you have experience of undertaking direct work with children and families, in a variety of roles? Are you committed to continuous improvement; people focused and have a ‘can-do’ attitude? Are you flexible in your approach and working hours? And do you hold an NVQ 3 (or higher) in Social Care or the equivalent relevant health, education, early years or social care qualification/experience? Then we would like to hear from you!
You will work under the guidance of managers and case-holding social workers, providing support tailored to the needs of the family. We currently have a part-time vacancy available; this is an exciting time to join the service and we welcome all interested applicants.
Important note: When completing your online application form, you will be asked to enter supporting information. You must enter a detailed supporting information statement describing how your skills, abilities and experience meet the specific criteria included in the employee specification. If you do not include a supporting information statement, you will not be shortlisted. Please also ensure that you complete the work history and qualifications sections of your application form. Please do not add a CV as we do not accept them.
For further inquiries please contact Joanne Greenway 01922 652680.
Closing date for applications: Monday 30th September 2024
