Description The Commodities Institutional Sales desk is looking for a candidate to work with a range of primarily real money clients (e.g. Asset Managers, Pension & Endowment Funds) located across EMEA. Team members help strengthen client relationships by partnering with Trading and Strats, as well as other internal sales teams. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to deliver exceptional client relationship management, expert knowledge across systematic strategies and commodity market access products, and have a highly organised approach to growing the overall business. The candidate would start in London with the aim of moving to Paris after a training period of 9-18 months. Responsibilities / Qualifications: Helping to organise and manage a pipeline of medium to long-term real money client projects, while simultaneously working to originate new business with prospective clients. Managing the pre and post trade process for a client, which includes liaising with several internal teams (legal, credit, ops, structuring, trading) to ensure positive client experience, seamless trade execution and a co-ordinated approach. Being knowledgeable about, and able to talk to, a range of products and wrappers (commodity systematic strategies, UCITS solutions, market access products, derivatives), with the help of structuring / product experts. Acting as a single touch point for a range of clients (commodity experts and multi-asset PMs); summarising and communicating relevant content and market colour to clients. This requires an understanding of commodities market fundamentals and the role of commodities in a portfolio. Co-ordinating and producing client follow-ups and tailored analysis for clients, often liaising with trading and structuring. Helping to build new client relationships by doing independent research related to client activity / potential areas of opportunities / industry trends; this could include mapping specific client types or regions. Preferred Qualifications Strong academic record with minimum Bachelor’s degree. Strong organisational skills and an interest to work on rewarding, longer term projects. Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and work well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
