A Laboratory Technician (Biology) is required to be part of a three-person team of technicians to support the practical element of teaching and learning in our very successful and popular Science Department. Numbers of students studying Triple Science and A Level Sciences are very high.
Successful candidates will join an ambitious and progressive science department that is always looking for opportunities to further develop their practice for the benefit of the student’s education. The department consists of 16 teaching staff, 2 permanent support staff and a 3-person technician team. The department consistently achieve strong GCSE results and as such often attracts a strong A-Level science cohort.
Working as part of a large science team, prospective candidates would need to possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and high levels of communication skills. Candidates should be enthusiastic and passionate about the subject area and hold strong subject knowledge
