Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
Responsibilities
1. Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Support clients in following their care plans and achieving their personal goals.
3. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
4. Help with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at home or within the care home.
6. Document daily activities and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
7. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed.
8. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is desirable but not essential.
2. Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
3. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
4. A valid driving licence is preferred for those assisting with transportation needs.
5. Familiarity with home care practices is an advantage.
6. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to clients.
7. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
