Description About the Role : A new and exciting opportunity is available to join the Lean Team. You will support the Lean Specialist in working with Managers and colleagues to build the Lean culture within Wincanton Screwfix and develop sustainable Lean capability. You will produce analytics to support process improvement initiatives and manage financial and quality benefit impacts. You will work closely with operations and senior stakeholders and will support the implementation of Lean principles that leads to measurable and sustainable benefits. The working hours are normally between 8:00am - 16:00 with some flexibility required. Please note this role also requires travel across 3 of ours sites based in Lichfield, Stafford and Runcorn. How will you contribute? • Support the development and integration of the Lean Strategy across the business through the delivery of a defined Roadmap and projects delivered to agreed timescales. • Provide coaching and mentoring support to those who are executing Lean initiatives. • Support the facilitation of DMAIC projects, workshops and training to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery that engage people to deliver sustainable, measurable change. • Support Managers and Lean Specialists with data analysis to assure solutions implemented deliver the required benefit. • Work with finance functions to support the mechanisms to track financial benefits. • Support the Lean capability build across the network to ensure a sustainable pipeline of Lean Champions. What will you bring? • You will be experienced in coaching teams and working collaboratively with key stakeholders including senior level, in building mature Lean/C.I capability within sites. • Have a proven track record of implementing Lean in a supply chain, head office and service environment. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships throughout the business and discuss complex issues in a plain and concise manner. • An ability to identify, analyse and quickly assimilate information is essential. • Lean / C.I Practitioner Certification, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified, or equivalent.
