As a Quality Specialist you’ll develop, implement and maintain business, health, safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) procedures for NGET. You’ll ensure governance arrangements are in place and be responsible for the accuracy of the policies and procedures within the portfolio.
Identifying procedural requirements from legislative or regulatory changes, you’ll maintain and update deliverable, compliant procedural documentation and project manage implementation.
You’ll effectively manage stakeholders to ensure the procedures and policies comply with legislation and are effectively implemented by our business units.
We are flexible on base location of this role; however travel will be required to Warwick for team meetings a couple of times during the month and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.
Key Accountabilities
* Support the design and be responsible for maintaining NGET’s safety, health, environmental, security and quality framework, aligned to ISO Standards, with input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
* Horizon scan for any legislation, regulatory changes relevant to policy or best practice across the industry.
* Identify and interpret relevant legislation into business policies and procedures with support from SMEs across NGET.
* Support the assurance, and development and dissemination of training on policies, ensuring that the procedures are embedded into new working practice.
* Statutory Regulatory Reporting and Responsible Business Reporting.
* Coordinate shared learning and best practice and manage the relationship with cross entity forums/working groups.
* Create and maintain a suite of KPIs to ensure compliance to policy across NGET.
What you'll need
You’ll ideally have an understanding of legislation and regulations relating to technical and safety, health and environmental procedures, coupled with experience within a quality, or safety environment, developing and implementing policy and procedures.
With an understanding of the associated technical and safety, risk and compliance issues, you’ll have experience of procedure writing, implementation, training and embedding into the ways of working.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the business are essential and you’ll hold a HNC level qualification or have significant business experience within this area.
