Due to the popularity of our Wrap Around Care an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic Wrap Around Care assistant(s) to join our team. The successful candidate(s) will assist the day-to-day operations of the Breakfast and/or After School Clubs, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.We have two positions available (but will consider one person for both positions) -1: 7:30 - 8:30am2: 3:00 - 5:30pm Whilst creativity, fun and imagination are all key elements of this role, it is essential that you have experience of working with children and are able to build a rapport with children aging from 3 years – 11 years old
We are looking for someone who is passionate about having a positive impact on children through art, play and well-being activities. To allow the children to start and end their day, feeling calm and regulated ahead of school or at home time. Together with this, you need to have the ability to maintain a strong and efficient team, who work and align to the values of Kilby St Mary’s C of E Primary School.Job context:
The Breakfast Club and After School Club is available as part of the childcare element of its extended school provision. The Breakfast Club and After School Club is income generated. Parents pay fees to send their children to the club.
The Headteacher and senior leadership team oversee all areas related to the delivery of school strategy. The After School Club staff oversee the delivery and provision of the After School Club childcare.Key Response abilities:· Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children, with a safe, fun and stimulation environment for all children who attend Wrap Around Care.
· Be responsible for the daily set up of Breakfast and/or After School Club, site resources, requirements, including accurate keeping of registers, first aid, medicines, risk assessments, security and fire regulations.
· Develop quality play and activities. Ensure the engagement of all children, specific to their individual needs, through a variety of play opportunities which are tailored to different age groups.· Ensure understanding and appropriate implementation of all the school’s policies and procedures.
