Our Building Services team are looking for an Estates Officer (Fire) to join the team at Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield, Nottingham.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the site's fire alarm systems and service, and the promotion of compliance with statutory and good engineering practices. Specific areas of responsibility are reflected in the Mansfield project responsibility matrix and may change from time to time as agreed with the Senior Estates Officer.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. Lead Authorised Person for all aspects of Fire at King’s Mill, Mansfield Community, and Newark Hospital.
2. Undertake package management and AP duties as identified within the Responsibility Matrix. The Matrix may be reviewed, and responsibilities may change to align with the needs of the business.
3. Application of Commercial policy and procedure to ensure costs are controlled and recovered via appropriate lifecycle, reactive maintenance cap, or ERM.
4. Ensure asset information and PPM schedules are kept current, in line with Manufacturers recommendations and/or HTM’s, and are reflected within the Schedule of Programmed Maintenance.
5. Attend annual quality review meetings with sub-contractors to review the scope of works, RAMS for the forthcoming year, and to ensure asset completeness and schedule of program maintenance delivery schedule.
6. Recognised C & G or BTec in Mechanical Engineering.
7. Experience of working on various fire alarm systems e.g., Static, Gent.
8. Experience of working in hospitals and on hospital infrastructure is essential; Acute Hospital experience preferred. Knowledge and experience of other hospital services would be an advantage.
9. Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM’s) and Health Building Notes (HBN’s) etc.
