Your role will involve preparing financial forecasts, conducting departmental audits, and analysing our financial performance to ensure we stay on the right track. What You’ll Be Doing (Reporting to the Finance Director) Prepare Management Accounts: Regularly create management accounts, including KPIs, financial statements, and reconciliations, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met. Drive Query Resolution: Act as the go-to person for resolving any issues related to management accounts, ensuring clarity and accuracy in financial reporting. Monitor Financial Activity: Keep a close eye on spending, costs, and budgets, providing insights that help us manage our resources effectively. Analyse Performance Trends: Dive into current and past trends in key performance areas, highlighting opportunities for improvement and helping to drive better performance. Budgeting & Forecasting: Take the lead in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, setting the stage for informed decision-making. Finance Support: Provide financial advice and support to various business areas, helping them understand and improve their financial KPIs. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and produce actionable recommendations to address any discrepancies or issues. Ensure Financial Discipline: Implement and maintain strong financial controls, processes, and disciplines across the organization. Continuous Improvement: Develop a deep understanding of the Group’s activities, identifying opportunities for continuous financial and operational improvement. Wider Financial Reporting: Understand and report on broader finance functions such as trade debtors, creditors, and other relevant areas. What We’re Looking For Qualified Accountant: You’re newly or part qualified with ACCA or CIMA, bringing solid expertise to the role. Excel Expert: Your advanced Excel skills allow you to manipulate data from various sources with ease. Numeracy & Literacy: You possess a high level of numeracy and literacy, essential for accurate financial analysis and reporting. Software Proficiency: Experience with Sage 200 and Xero is preferred, though not essential. Deadline-Driven: You excel at meeting deadlines, ensuring that all financial reports are timely and accurate. Team Player: You work well both independently and as part of a team, providing clear instructions and collaborating effectively with wider finance functions.
