Fortice are excited to be working with a leading consultancy in the digital and software services environment, seeking a Data Solutions Architect to drive transformative data strategies in the Defence and Government sectors. Role Summary: As a Data Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in delivering data-driven solutions for clients using both internal and commercial products. Reporting to the Technical Architecture Lead within the consulting division, you’ll also drive our capability framework, developing internal IP such as frameworks, methods, and go-to-market demonstrators. In addition to solution ownership and delivery, you will support pre-sales efforts by defining technical approaches, estimating costs, and representing the organisation at events/conferences to showcase product advancements and innovations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of data governance frameworks and modern data architectures. Provide strategic direction for data change initiatives and create tailored solutions. Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure successful implementation. Support pre-sales efforts by defining technical solutions and attending industry events. Skills Required: Proficient in AWS (e.g., S3, Glue) and Azure services (e.g., Synapse, Fabric) with experience in Data Lakehouse platforms like Databricks and Snowflake. Skilled in analytics, AI solutions, and data quality validation using tools like Purview, with knowledge of ontologies, taxonomies, and platforms such as Palantir Foundry/Gotham. Experienced in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), requirement gathering, solution design, and integrating legacy and modern stacks with distributed systems, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills Experience with Defence and Central Government clients Location: Onsite in Horsham 1 day a week, with travel to client sites as needed. Remote first and all travel/accommodation expensed. Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance and British citizens.
