Temporary Housing Ombudsman Compliance Coordinator

Pay Rate: £17.31 per hour PAYE
37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 2-3 months

The primary focus of this role is to manage and coordinate all requests for information received from the Housing Ombudsman Service. This involves ensuring that accurate information is gathered and submitted within the provided deadlines.
Additionally, the role requires overseeing emails received from the Housing Ombudsman into the Customer Experience Team's shared mailbox, ensuring all requests and queries are answered and resolved promptly.
The role is designed to support compliance with the Housing Ombudsman Complaints Handling Code, providing a dedicated focus on delivering the highest quality service to both the Housing Ombudsman and our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all requested information is provided to the Housing Ombudsman, focusing on meeting deadlines and adhering to the stated process for submitting complete and accurate information.
Handle all communications from the Housing Ombudsman service, including logging new requests, highlighting escalations, and responding to queries within the provided deadlines.
Advocate for and promote the complaints policy and procedure to all staff, ensuring adherence and understanding across the organisation.
Maintain clear, professional communication, ensuring that all correspondence is properly logged and accessible for accurate record-keeping.
Identify potential risks to the organisation’s reputation and collaborate with operational and communications teams to implement mitigating actions.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree/ qualification.
Knowledge:
Excellent knowledge of the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code.
Good knowledge of housing practices and procedures.
Experience:
Demonstrable experience of complaint handling and working in a compliance environment.
Experienced in dealing with task driven roles and with a proven track record of delivering on deadlines.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong planning and organising skills to maintain priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities as needed.
Resilient, with the ability to work under pressure to tight timelines.
