The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone seeking employment working with children and families in a Family Hub environment.
Bolton council is well underway with the implementation of the Family Hub programme and Family Hub Practitioners along with partner agencies are key to ensuring this delivery.
The Family Hub Practitioners will work as part of the Family Hub workforce and will be instrumental in helping our diverse communities feel welcome and able to access services through Family Hubs. Practitioners will contribute to the delivery of the universal Start for Life and wider Family Hub programme.
The Family Hub Practitioners will have a thorough knowledge of child development and early learning. They will be trained to deliver a range of preventative evidence-based interventions and will help families navigate Start For Life services as well as sharing information to support new and expectant parents/carers during their transition to parenthood.
These are fixed term roles until 31st March 2026.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with families and working in a team environment. You will have thorough knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation stage and child development and have experience working with children 0-5 and families. You will have a relevant Level 3 qualification. You will have the confidence to approach and engage all parents and carers, help them to understand the universal services they can access through Family Hubs. You will be friendly, approachable and happy to learn new skills and take part in training.
