What is the opportunity?
This opportunity will provide hands on experience within the regulatory reporting team on daily regulatory reporting obligations, control and oversight, monthly client deliverables and quarterly regulatory filings under a broad range of regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
Leveraging and building on your existing expertise in European regulatory trade and transaction reporting you will work to ensure RBC BlueBay, and it’s clients, meet their regulatory reporting obligations.
The Regulatory Reporting team aims to deliver robust, efficient and scalable reporting within multiple jurisdictions
What will you do?
* Running the daily transaction reporting process across a number of regulations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
* Undertake the regular oversight processes over various transaction reporting
* Investigate reporting issues identified through the reporting processes and oversight - develop solutions to address at source
* Collaborating with various vendors, trading counterparties and internal stakeholders to resolve reporting issues identified
* Assist the Senior Regulatory Reporting Executive in daily approvals, production of metrics to determine the overall health of the regulatory reporting process and support the prioritisation of remediation book of work
* Assist with the filing of periodic regulatory reports such as AIFMD, CTA, CPO-PQR, Form PF. etc.
* Support the team in project related work as required
* Developing and maintaining expertise in the reporting infrastructure
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
* Strong experience within a Regulatory Reporting team – either from an asset manager, investment bank, capital markets or related vendor
* Solid understanding of UK and European regulations - EMIR; MiFIR; SFTR essential. Understanding of ASIC/MAS; AIFMD and others beneficial
* Functional understanding of the asset management business
* Functional understanding of different asset classes and instrument types
* Solution focused individual with a desire to use their own initiative
* Analytical ability to investigate and triage reporting exceptions/validations and propose solutions
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to undertake a number of tasks and projects concurrently
* A passion for regulatory reporting – a focus on achieving the right outcome for RBC BlueBay and it’s clients
* Sets high standards of performance for self and strives to meet challenging objectives. Acts with integrity and within both the spirit and the letter of RBC BlueBay's principles, policies and procedures.
* Displays a positive and energetic attitude, gets involved and proactively seeks out opportunities to advance the business
Nice-to-have:
* Prior experience in periodic regulatory filings such as AIFMD, Form ADV, Form PF, CPO-PQR etc. beneficial
* Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL and VBA a bonus
