How will I be supporting the work of the Trust?
The Director of Finance and IT role works with a wide range of colleagues across the Trust’s services and internal support teams to lead on the delivery of high quality and progressive finance and IT & Data Architecture services.
The plan into 2027 and beyond is growth and you will be an effective part of the Executive team to meet the Boards strategic objectives and support the delivery of sustained growth across our services.
What does this involve?
* To lead and inspire, creating a high-performance culture and delivering high-quality services to customers
* Developing and maintaining budgets, identifying and reporting short and long term financial challenges and opportunities with a financial or delivery impact
* The prime source of advice to the Board and Executive Team on all aspects of financial management, data analysis, stewardship and governance
* Ensuring an effective financial management and control framework is in place to make the best use of funds available
* To formulate and develop the Papworth Trust’s financial strategies, ensuring integration with the Trust’s service and operational planning, and assessing risks and opportunities, to deliver Papworth Trust Mission and Vision
* Determining strategic growth as part of the Executive Team
* Developing financial forecasting and projections for both revenue and capital which incorporates detailed input from service areas
* To provide strategic leadership and direction to the IT and Data Architecture functions within the Trust.
Who are we looking for?
* Someone with a solid track record of the successful strategic leadership of finance in a complex and dynamic environment
* Experience leading and supporting organisations through significant transformation, leading new ways of working that achieve large scale cultural change
* Someone with strong leadership skills, budget management, and enabling innovation through your teams will all be needed in this exciting and challenging role
* Experiencing in the development and implementation of finance related strategies, programmes and plans in support of strategic operational goals
* Ideally you will have worked either within the third sector, housing or another of our service delivery areas
* A qualified accountant, you will be able to evidence continuing professional development to maintain up to date knowledge.
Role will require a basic Disclosure Barring Service.
